We are very sorry to advise that we have recently learnt that Sukhdev (Dev) Singh died in March this year. Dev spent the latter years of his life in Sydney Australia. He was an extremely popular member of the club who joined Sevenoaks in the early 1970’s whilst working for Price Waterhouse Coopers on assignment from Singapore. Tony Barber writes that Dev’s first contact with us was playing for London House agst Sevenoaks. However he liked the club and its social life so much that he joined and played for us for several years including a visit to the Bournemouth Easter festival in 1974.
Everyone who knew Dev speaks of him as a lovely man and a true gentleman. He is very fondly remembered and will be much missed. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife Nita, his daughter Ravnit (Rav) and his sons, Jasdev and Simerdeep.
