Entries for the 2020 awards were judged remotely by a panel of industry experts including Designer Magazine Editor, Martin Allen-Smith, award-winning Designer, Colin Wong and renowned Architect, Alan Crawford. The shortlisted finalists were announced on Tuesday 22nd September and Rencraft’s very own Director and Designer, Robert Waite, was delighted to find himself making the cut in no less than three separate categories.

One of Robert’s Modular Kitchen designs made the shortlist for Best Kitchen Design (under 30k), while one of his Bespoke designs has also been selected as Finalist for both the Best Kitchen Design (over 30k) and the British Design & Manufacturing categories.

Speaking after Tuesday’s announcement, a very excited Robert commented “To be a finalist in one category would be amazing, but to be shortlisted for three awards is just brilliant! I’m absolutely chuffed to bits!”

It’s not the first time that a member of the Rencraft team has been recognised by Designer. In 2018 Rencraft Managing Director, John Stephens, was a finalist in the category Best Use Of Materials, while in 2016 our Senior Designer, Jonathan Reynolds, won the award for British Design & Manufacturing.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for Robert when the winners are announced! Can he score a hat trick? We’ll have to wait until November to find out…
