6's V Old Bordenian 2's

Playing Old Bords today as they sat below us by 4 points we needed the win. The team have come together well over the season and our game is now moving in positive directions. We try to focus on positioning throughout the match, meeting the ball and winning the 50/50 balls. Our passing and switching play in becoming more and more effective and we managed to be putting the ball into the D a lot. In the first half we had our chances but couldn't find the back of the net. Before half time Sarah Curing managed to put the ball in at the far post after an assist from Bully. Into the second half and balls were coming fast at the back post but couldn't find the goal. From a short corner set play Nicky put the ball past the keeper to give us our 2nd. We kept going and deserved the win. We have a good strong team and can take the win when we believe it. Well done to Fleur who was given Player of the Match, with Leanne close behind. Our poor little donkey today voted for herself after having some issues with scoring goals at the far post but we know she can do it, so Curing get the ears. We are sitting now still in 7th place in the league with the same points as Maidstone in the 6's spot. We look to finish the season in either 6th or 7th which is amazing after a new team developing together and coming from 11th. Well done girls!
