We are deeply saddened by the news that James Smith
died suddenly on Monday 21 November

James “Jimbo” was a stalwart member of Sevenoaks Hockey Club
from the 1970’s, and played cricket for Shipbourne, The Vine, and Knockers Cricket Clubs

James was a passionate jazz fan and, in later years, was a principal organiser at the
Tunbridge Wells Jazz Club. He also enjoyed running and walking and
had a keen association with the Tunbridge Wells Harriers

Above all, James was a very good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him
