We are very sad to inform members that Tim Smith passed away on Friday 25 July at the age of 71.

Tim was a very keen local sportsman, playing football, cricket and tennis. Cricket was his main love and he was a member of the Vine 1XI with his wily off-spin.

As proprietor of Bat and Ball Sports Tim was a great supporter of many local activities. He was a committed sponsor and friend to the Hockey Club for many years, providing kit and equipment to countless players and their children, and he had many social friends here.

Funeral arrangements for Tuesday 26 August
2pm at St Thomas of Canterbury RC Church, Granville Road, Sevenoaks
followed by a private burial in Shoreham
All are welcome to join the church service and wake which will be held at The Vine Club
