Men’s 1st XI – Match Preview

This week’s fixture sees Sevenoaks Men’s 1st XI welcome Oxford Hawks to Hollybush Lane for their England Hockey Division One South fixture. Last season Oaks were victorious in the home fixture by a 2-0 score line, whilst winning 4-0 away. The score lines don’t tell the whole story though, as Hawks were a tough, well organised side, who caused Oaks some problems, particularly in the game at Hollybush, so Oaks will need to be on their game to secure the three points.

Sevenoaks will be looking to build on their first three points of the season last week, after their thrilling 5-3 win away to Havant. Each game so far this season Oaks have improved, after a disappointing start losing to Canterbury and drawing with Bath. Oxford Hawks have had a positive start to the season with two wins out of three over Brighton and Bath and will come into the game no doubt full of confidence.
