Sevenoaks Women's 1s vs Canterbury

It was the Kent rival day for the Women’s 1XI against Canterbury, with Canterbury travelling up to Sevenoaks.

The game began fast with two goals for Sevenoaks in the first half of the game. A lovely bit of skill and a powerful shot from Tash Brennan started the scoring. and then another left-hand side attack leading from Mackenzie Bell to a short corner. A well-executed short corner ended in Maddie Thompson scoring and taking Sevenoaks 2-0 up going into the second half.

The second half was what we call a professional performance, with some good hockey played by both sides. The half ended up goalless. Sevenoaks defended a few short corners well, denying Canterbury a chance of scoring.

A great team performance by Sevenoaks to show the home crowd a confident win.
