Sevenoaks L3s recorded an emphatic win over bottom of the table BBHC in a game of two halves at Erith's King Henry School. The visitors made a tentative start on a slow, sticky pitch against determined opposition and were lucky to go one up halfway through the first 35 when Alana Giles’s through ball found Kelsey McKenna in space in the D. McKenna calmly rounded the keeper to slot home from close range in one of the calmer passages of play in a scrappy first half. A tactical half time switch saw Oaks revert to a midfield diamond formation, which yielded immediate results with a flurry of second half goals as the visitors dominated possession and moved the ball with a confidence missing from the first half. Goals came in droves as MOM Georgi Samuel, Cailyn McKenna and Alana Giles added to the tally, along with an eye-catching top corner smash from Pilar Benavides and two fine individual goals from Tegan Peterson and a second from the ever-determined Cailyn McKenna. The home team registered a late consolation from a PC to spoil the clean sheet, yet Oaks will take huge confidence from this result as the team steadily climbs the table and looks to capitalise on home advantage in the team’s next two home fixtures.
