Back To Hockey for All

So great to be back on the astro, playing hockey with friends and new players joining. Our first friendly of the season and it was a great feeling to be scoring goals and playing well. Even with the break you could see how strong the team started and how much what was learnt and perfected from last season was still there. Great to have new players joining us for the friendly, it's always a fiddly start to the season with finding out where we are to play. Thank you all for your patience at this time and your drive to push yourselves. All our teams are friendly and fun to play in, so where ever you end up you will be welcomed and valued.
With some great passing and moves we took the lead with a goal from Esme Devonport, great way to start the game in the first 15 mins. Folkestone managed to pull a goal back but it didn't stop us for pressuring them all game. The next two goals came in the second half by a short corner conversion by myself (Bully) and then a little later by Michelle. Unlucky for Lou who score twice but just as the umpire blew the whistle both times. Even though there were many changes of positions and players, we kept the pace and played well till the end. Great keeping by our temp GK Janine with some strong guidance from the goalie.
Very exited about the season ahead and we will be pushing for promotion this year.
