Oaks bounced back convincingly on Sunday morning with a 6-2 victory over Canterbury. David Smith got Oaks off to the perfect start when he attacked down the right-hand side and expertly flicked the ball into the far corner of the net from wide in the D to make it 1-0. Two quick goals from Craig Haley put Sevenoaks in the driving seat at 3-0 up after less than ten minutes. Oaks squandered several glorious opportunities to extend their lead, which briefly lifted their opponents. Canterbury rallied and pulled a goal back, but Oaks immediately added another to make it 4-1 after Ian Haley hit the back of the net. George Torry added a fifth for Oaks to make it 5-1. Canterbury kept themselves just about in touch reducing the deficit to three goals but Oaks finished the game off with the goal of the game when slick interchange between Nick Barker and George Torry ended with the former getting his first goal of the weekend to make the final score 6-2.
